This week I will be on a roadtrip at the end of the week. I will include the promotions that I will see on that roadtrip to Minneapolis and Milwaukee. I think I am the only one reading this anyway, so that makes sense.
Monday July 6th
West Michigan Whitecaps – Gerald R. Ford Museum baseballs to the first 1,500 fans. Great giveaway for a guy who collects baseballs.
Tuesday July 7th
Lexington Legends – Quarter hot dog night.
Memphis Redbirds – John Gall bobblehead to the first 1,500 fans.
Akron Aeros – Are you smarter than an umpire night
Miwaukee Brewers – DAV baseball card set (20,000 fans)
Rockford RiverHawks – Coporate Buyout. Tickets are free thanks to a local company.
Joliet Jackhammers – Northern League All Star Game. Get autographs pre game, and see the best the Northern League has to offer.
Wednesday July 8th
Kane County Cougars – Peanut Free Night. Once again a stadium goes peanut free for a night to allow those fans with allergies to enjoy the game. Don’t take your bag with you.
Chicago White Sox – Michael McDermott will be performing at Gate 4.
Clinton Lumberkings – Baseball card strip giveaway to the first 1,000 fans.
Memphis Redbirds – Harry Potter night. The Redbirds will celebrate Hogwarts.
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers – Another Peanut free night. Jimmy Carter has got to be up in arms.
Thursday July 9th
Chicago White Sox – Kids trading cards to the first 10,000 kids. Hopefully the cards will be of MLB players instead of random kids.
Joliet Jackhammers – Budweiser pint glass giveaway (1st 1,000 fans 21 and over)
Nashville Sounds – Ryan Braun bobblehead giveaway (2,000 fans)
Akron Aeros – Italian American night. The whole crowd will be doing poor imitations of the new “protection” commercials.
Windy City Thunderbolts – Pint glass giveaway
Quad City River Bandits – President Obama bobblehead giveaway.
Friday July 10th
Clinton Lumberkings – Baseball cap giveaway to the first 750 fans.
Lexington Legends – Legends of Kentucky bobbleheads to the first 1,000 fans. Kenny Perry and JB Holmes are the two legends this season.
Memphis Redbirds – 2009 team set giveaway
Quad City River Bandits – Gale Sayers appearance.
St. Paul Saints – German night. The website asks the question “are German Shepards really German?” That is the extent of their description. (I will be at this game)
Saturday July 11th
Toledo Mud Hens – Doubleheader. The promotional schedule highlights the fact you get two games for one. That is a great deal. Indy is the opponent for the game.
Beloit Snappers – Christmas in July promotion.
Birmingham Barons – Used car giveaway night. They are giving away cars from three local dealerships. So the math would suggest that at least three cars are leaving the park. Just lock yours up or their could be more.
Quad City River Bandits – Steve Dillard Bobblehead (2,000 fans) and Elvis night
Milwaukee Brewers – Brewers hat to the first 15,000 fans over 21 sponsored by Miller Lite
Minnesota Twins – Twins Hall of Fame induction ceremony and commemoritive pins. Brad Radke is among the honored (I will be at this game)
Sunday July 12th
Beloit Snappers – Paul Molitor bobblehead giveaway to the first 500 fans. Well you get a wristband good for a bobblehead.
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers – Carl Edwards #99 NASCAR on display.
Milwaukee Brewers – Brewers key chain to the first 15,000 adults (I will be at this game)
St. Louis Cardinals – All Star Weekend Futures game. This is a great way to see the young talent coming up the ranks. I went in 2003 in Chicago and it was great. Tickets are usually easy to get too, so here is your chance to be part of the All Star weekend. They also have a 5k race in the morning with Vince Coleman and Lou Brock.
