Black and Gold, but no Glitter

Today I sat through the Black and Gold game at Purdue. I say sat through because it was missing something. Players are on the field in pads, but it just isn’t the same without a game on the line. It was nice to see the Boilers, but most of the offense that they can expect to have in ’09 did not play. The receiver corps are thin, but our incoming freshmen should fix that. One good thing about the slim receivers was the fact that Kris Staats got some playing time. He is the holder on Field Goal attempts, but he also got some work in at wide out. No balls thrown to him though. Some day he will catch a pass at Purdue.
