Carlton Fisk Countdown: #37

Today we come to the 1982 Donruss Diamond Kings card of Carlton. This was the first ever issue of Diamond Kings, and what better player to start it off with for the Sox than Carlton. I really like the concept of the Diamond King, and it was always part of the fun every year to see who they picked for your team as well as the other teams. This is also the first Carlton card that you come to in the set where he has a White Sox uniform on. Tomorrow we will be halfway in the countdown. This completes the first half of the list. We still have a long way to go. I am going to have to get some energy drinks so that I can continue. Next time I come up with a countdown I may stick to shorter ones like the current top 25 going on.

  1. That is one creepy painting. Come to think of it, all the Diamond Kings paintings were a little weird. And yet, somehow, great.
