That has got to be what coach Chuck Martin is saying after his Grand Valley State team won its 34th game in a row last night over Indianapolis. Last year I was lucky enough to attend a few games, and went to the homecoming game last night. The Lakers are a class above the competition. They have won four out of the last five Division II titles, and their last loss prevented them from winning their fifth. They have now tied the Division II record for most consecutive games won, and look to break that record next week. With Purdue’s schedule it looks like the next game that I will be able to attend will be in the playoffs for these Lakers. Last night the Lakers won 41-17, but the game was not that close. The second team was put in very early, and even they looked good. Grand Valley could run when they wanted as well as pass when they wanted against the team with the second best record in the GLIAC. Grand Valley is 91-9 in their last 100 games, and it would take nothing short of a miracle to end that before the playoffs.
